I’ve carried this habit with me for almost 20 years. I first learned it in the company I worked for in Vancouver (yep, the same one where I met the girls I would later start Smart Cookies with).
The gift of working at this company and the culture was that it was very driven by vision and the belief in what a vision could become with aligned action.
And one habit, in particular, I learned to help take aligned action and build purposeful momentum is something I still use to this day. It’s called the TOP THREE.
The purpose of The TOP THREE is to not spend our days getting lost in a million “to-dos” that really don’t bring us anywhere closer to what we really want…and instead, focus on 3… you heard me, only THREE small but intentional “needle-moving and mindset-shifting” actions every day.
Let’s say, for example, you have a vision and goal starting or expanding your own business (which by the way was a very real goal for me this year with the launch of the Vision Kits).
Here’s how the TOP THREE FORMULA WOULD WORK.

Great, that’s big and bold, but a worthy goal. Beautiful.

These small bold actions lead to bigger bold actions and that is where the magic happens!
When we focus on the small actions, we are then able to create the momentum needed to create massive + rapid change on a bigger scale. It allows us to tap into and live from the energy of opportunity and solutions, rather than fear and overwhelm.
Tap into your purpose, your intention, and your long-term vision. Then magnetize that energy into your every day in small ways. It gets to be easy! It’s truly time we let things be easier. You are worthy of that.
