I’m sorry, how many sisters did you say you want ???
It’s funny – as a family, we’ve pretty much spent 24/7 together for the past 365 days . Another day, same humans (and Ging of course).
Obviously we’ve had plenty of QT, but somehow we had the BEST conversations and cheek cramping laughs together last week than we had this whole past year when we escaped for a couple days for a Spring Break getaway to one of our favorite places – The Broadmoor.
On one of our walks around the lake with Ging, Jack filled us in that writing stories at school was his favorite (seriously had ZERO idea that was his favorite) I would have 100% guessed STEM or science. But I guess what do I know!?
Then, after we were wrapping up a family Pickleball lesson, Violet shared out of the blue that she wishes she had 17 sisters. (I’m sorry…. what!?!) Then, she happily clarified, “yes 17 sisters but only one brother, because I love Jack and he’s enough for me”.
(side note: our amazing Pickleball instructor, Christopher, nicknamed Violet “Money” and we’re not mad about it)
Does anyone else have this experience on vacation?? Somehow a change of scenery and getting out of the day to day inspires the BEST conversation??
Let’s be real, we’re ALL ready for a lil change of scenery this Spring, right?!
I wouldn’t be a Smart Cookie if I didn’t pass along that the magical and stunning Broadmoor is offering incredible Spring Break packages starting at $259 on select dates. It’s one of my all time favorite places to visit, and Spring is such a beautiful time to go. Some of our family’s most special moments together have happened here!
Here’s to change of scenery this Spring and the kind of conversation that creates memories you’ll hold onto for a lifetime.
